Raffi is selling his house on Salt Spring Island, a bucolic little place a few hours outside of Vancouver, for $1.875 million. “Raffi’s House!” the listing description starts, and in a post to his official Instagram account, the musician writes: “Let’s find good people to move into my old place!,” adding in a tweet that it was where he “recorded vocals and instrumental tracks for several albums.” (He’s apparently downsizing to a smaller home.)
The house that “Baby Beluga” built (or “Listen to the Horses” for the true heads) has four bedrooms and three baths and looks very, very Raffi: wood beams, vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows showing off ocean views, and a wraparound deck and patio. The house comes with raised-bed vegetable gardens and a blue-tiled kitchen to cook what you grow. Plus, the listing advertises a “treezeebo,” which is just a gazebo built around a tree but sounds very charming when put that way. “Would love to see a sweet family enjoy this inspiring abode,” he writes. It seems like one really could.
